TRAINING: OVERALL METAL DETECTION PROGRAM

Emphasis is given for development of an overall metal detection program.

Effectively removing metal contamination involves more than just properly
installing and adjusting a metal detector. Developing effective working practices
by line operators, maintenance and Q.A. personnel is important.
 
Recommendations and training are provided in the following areas:
  • Frequency and methods of testing.
  • What to do with rejected product.
  • Recording/documentation maintenance.
  • How metal contamination can reach the customer even when a metal detector is in place.
  • False rejects, why they occur and how to minimize them.

 

METAL DETECTOR AUDITING

Confirm each metal detector for proper set up, detection and accurate rejection performance.

The inspection also covers the following:
  • Functionality of metal detector’s reject mechanism.
  • Conveyor belting, sensors and peripheral devices.
  • Product set-up advice.
  • Maintenance and testing procedure advice

 

RATES

Equipment Audits are available at the following rates:

Performance Verification Rate:

A minimum of $600.00 will be billed per audit visit, up to an initial four hour of Service. Additional labor above the minimum service rate of $600.00 will be billed at $100.00 per hour for regular hours (8:00 – 5:00). Saturday and non-regular hours will be the hourly rate x 1.5. Sunday and Holiday hours will be the hourly rate x 2.

Expenses:

If required: Meals, hotels, flights and all other incidental expenses are charged at
Actual cost.

Terms: Net 30 from receipt of invoice.
